Love you all in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ Amen

The Beatitudes Ch: 6 : 20 --22

Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said, "God blesses you who are poor, for the Kingdom of God is given to you. God Blesses you who are hungry now for you will be satisfied. God blesses you who weep now for the time will come when you will laugh with joy. God blesses you who are hated and excluded mocked and cursed because you are identified with me, the Son of Man. Thank you Lord Jesus Amen

(Galatians Ch3: 6 -- 14) Abraham Was Justified by faith Not by Works.

(Vs.6) Even as Abraham believed, God, And it was accounted to Him for righteousness. (Vs.7) Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. (Vs.8)And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying In thee shall all nations be blessed. (V.9) So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Christ Redeems Us from the curse of the law:- (V.10) For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse, for it is written, Cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. (V.11) But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God. It is evident: for the just shall live by faith. (V.12) And the law is not of faith: but The man that doeth them shall live in them. (V.13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. (V.14) That the Blessings of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith.

Our Father (The Lords Prayer 🙏)

Here is how it breaks down. “Our Father in heaven” is teaching us whom to address our prayers to—the Father. “Hallowed be your name” is telling us to worship God, and to praise Him for who He is. The phrase “your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” is a reminder to us that we are to pray for God’s plan in our lives and the world, not our own plan. … We are encouraged to ask God for the things we need in “give us today our daily bread.” “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors” reminds us to confess our sins to God and to turn from them, and also to forgive others as God has forgiven us. The end of the Lord’s Prayer asks God to give human beings the strength to overcome the devil’s schemes.

(Manasseh) did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger. (2Chronicles 33:6

The Objective of God's Discipline:- We read that Manasseh provoked the Lord to anger. We too can sometimes provoke Him: "Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He: (1Cor.10:22). As a child of God, if we believe like those who are without hope and without God,the discipline of our God and Father will also come upon us, and His discipline has a specific purpose: it is so that we partake of His holiness (Heb.12:10) We see a positive illustration of this in the life of Manassesh, who was exercised by God's discipline. The Lord first took the time to speak the king and the people, but unfortunately "they would not listen (2Chr.33:10). So He spoke a second time more severely by using the king of Assyria to capture and bring Manasseh in bronze chains to Babylon. There, in his distress, "he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before (God)" (v.12), And, let us notice it carefully, God "received his entreaty, heard his supplication" (v.13). This shows us two things: --Firstly, that Manassesh's sin was really, really bad. He provoked the Lord, and the judgment that will come later on the kingdom is in part attributed to Manasseh's evil deeds (2Ki.24:3), --Second, that when God says He is "compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and truth" (Ex.34:6 NASB), it is really, really true. If like Manasseh, being under God's discipline, we understand our faults and "confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to clense us from all unrighteousness" (1Jn.1:9). Is there any sin too great that He cannot forgive? No, and we have the proof of this in Manasseh. The fruits of God's discipline is restoration and fellowship with Himself. What a blessing it is for us! Amen

No Commonplace Tameness E.M. Bounds (Romans:8 :32

"He that spared not his own Son,but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" No Commonplace tameneness should restrain our largest asking. large, larger, and largest asking magnifies grace and adds to God's glory. Feeble asking impoverishes the asker and restrains God's purpose for the greatest Good and obscures his glory. Amen

The Chief Thing Worship God (Andrew Murray) (Revelations 22:9 Psalm 25:1 Psalm 42:2)

why is it that prayer and intercession with God are not a greater joy and delight? One answer to this question undoubtedly is: We know God too little. In our prayer, His presence is not the chief thing our heart is seeking. And yet it should be, Often when we pray, we think mostly of ourselves, our needs, our desires, But we forget that in every prayer, God must be first, must be all. So how is one to attain this nearness to God and fellowship with Him? The answer is simple; We must give God time to make Himself Known to us. Believe with your whole heart, that just as you present yourself to God as a suppplicant, so God presents Himself to you as the hearer of prayers. But you cannot realize this unless you give Him time and quiet. It is not in the multitude or the earnestness of your words in which prayer has its power. Your prayer has its power in the living faith that God Himself is taking you and your prayer into His loving heart. He Himself will give assurance that in His time your prayer will be heard. Begin your day with these words: " Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul". My soul thirsteth for God, for the Living God"

My Peace I give to you, By Rev.Jaykumar

Jesus says to his disciples,"My peace I give to you". What is peace? Peace is always connected with war. People think, where there is no war, there is peace. Peace is more than having no war. The absence if war does not necessarily provide peace. It has both inner and outer aspects. Inner peace of mind. Outer good relations. Peaceful co-existence with one another. The Hebrew concept "Shalom", also "Salam" in Arabic, "Shanthi", mean "wholeness" or "welfare". Someone said, "we don't need graveyard peace". But what we need is dynamic peaceful co-existence. That's why World Council of Churches have been advocating, "Peace with Justice". In the ancient church, people greeted oneanother with a sign of peace. Later it came to be known as "Kiss of Peace". It was long forgotten but revived by the Church of South India in its liturgy, deeply appreciated by the Church of England. In most of the American Churches, there is greeting oneanother at the beginning or in the middle of the service. Sometimes, the whole worship atmosphere and its solemnity is lost in this exercise. What we need today is the peace of mind, heart and soul. Where can we get and who can give? Peace is associated with wellbeing. If we are well in body, mind and soul, then we have peace. Jesus is speaking about this "Eirene", peace and well being inspite of our situation. "Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called the children of God". As long as there is war, somewhere in the world, it is a blot on human wisdom. We might reach out to the heavens, but if we cannot live in peace on earth, what does it matter? Everyone is a visitor and Pilgrim on earth. We should learn to live and let others live too. Many of our churches are ridden with complex problems. People go to civil courts for redressel. There is no one answer. The answer is blowing in the wind by the Holy Spirit. The wind blows where it wills. Political peace, economic well being and equal sharing of earth's resources, can bring stable peace. Let us work towards living in peace and also allowing others to live in peace. "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself". When God could do this, why not we do it to oneanother? Amen. If you are at peace with yourself, then share that peace with the congregation. If you are not at peace, allow someone who has achieved that peace to proclaim it. We cannot preach peace and and at the sametime at war/enemity with one another. "Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart". God bless you. Bishop Surya 14.9.24

Christ Jesus as Intercessor Hebrews 7 : 25. Luke 22:32 Like 23:34 Andrew Murray

He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. In His life on earth Christ Jesus began His work as Intercessor. Think of the high priestly prayer on behalf of His disciples and of all those who would believe in His name through them. Think of his words to Peter, "I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not". A proof of how intensely personal His intercession is. And on the cross He spoke as Intercessor: " Father, forgive them". Now that he is seated at God's right hand, He continues, as our great High Priest, the work of intercession without ceasing. Yet He gives His people power to take part in it. Seven times in His farewell discourse He (Lord Jesus) repeated the assurance that He would do what they asked. The power of heaven was to be at the disciples disposal. God waited for the disciples to ask for his grace and power.Through the leading of the Holy Spirit they would know what the will of God was. They would learn in faith to pray in His name. He would present their requests to the Father, and through united intercession the church would be clothed with the power of the Holy spirit.

Expect the Unexpected Andrew Murray Jeremiah32:17,27

Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power. . .there is nothing too hard for thee. . . Behold,I am the Lord . . .is there any thing too hard for me? Beware, in your prayer, above everything, of limiting God, only by unbelief, but fancying that you know what He can do. Expect unexpected things above all that we ask or think. Each time you intercede, be quiet first and worship God in His glory. Think of what He can do, of How He delights to hear Christ Jesus, of your place in Christ Jesus; and expect great things.

One Inlet of Power Holy Spirit S.D. Gordon

There is one inlet of power in the life--the Holy Spirit. He is power. He is in everyone who opens his doors to God. He eagerly enters every open door. He comes in by our invitation and consent. His presence within is vital thing. But with many of us, while He is inside, He is not in control. He is inside as a guest, not as host. He is hindered in His natural movements so that He cannot do what he wants. And so we are not conscious or only partially conscious of His presence. And others are less so. But to yield to his mastery, to cultivate His friendship, to give him full sway--that will result in what is called power.

The Rightful Prince Jesus Christ by S.D.Gordon

In its simplest meaning, prayer has to do with a conflict. It is the deciding factor in a spirit conflict. The scene of the conflict is the earth. The purpose of the conflict is to decide the control of the earth and its inhabitants. The conflict runs back into the misty ages of the creation time. The righful prince of the earth is Jesus Christ, the King's Son. There is a pretender prince who was once rightful prince. He was guilty of a breach of trust. But like King Saul, after his rejection and David's anointing in his place, he has been and is trying his best to hold the realm and oust the rightful ruler. The rightful Prince is seeking by utterly different means--namely, persuasion--to win the world back to its first allegiance. He had a fierce run-in with the pretender, and after a series of victories won the great victory of the resurrection morning. There is one peculiarity of this conflict that makes its different from all others: a decided victory and the utter vanquishing of the leading general has not stopped the war. And the reason is remarkable . The Victor has a deep love-ambition to not merely beat the enemy but win mens's hearts, by their free consent. And so,with marvelous love born of wisdom and courage, the conflict is left open, for men's sake.

Close with Christ. by Andrew Murray

I have been purchased with the blood of Christ Jesus.Iam to live every day with one thought, "How can I please my Master?" We find the Christian life so difficult because we seek for God's blessings while we live life according to our own desires. We make our own plans and choose our own work. Then we ask the Lord to help us not to go too far wrong.Instead, our relationship with Jesus should be that we are entirely at His disposal We should ask Him daily, "Lord Jesus, is there anything in me that is not according to your will, that is entirely surrendered to You? If we will wait patiently for His guidance there will spring up a relationship between us and Our Lord Jesus Christ so close that we will be amazed. He will take actual possession of us and give us unbroken fellowship.

Baptism in relationship with Jesus Christ

An individual could go and get themselves baptized a dozen times with immersion baptism etc but the main aspect is what is their relationship with the author of our faith Jesus Christ. Are you'll only Sunday Christians? Do you'll love God with all your heart and love your neighbour as you love yourselves? We are fighting a battle against our minds and our hearts. " A spiritual warfare." Everyone of us are involved in this spiritual warfare, the only way out is to read our Bibles and pray every day have a closer walk with Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour Amen

Parable of the two foundations Luke:6:46-49

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them. I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, 🏠 and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house
🏠, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house 🏠 upon the earth: against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell: and the ruin of that house was great.

Do you know the driver of your life.

Acts 19:15. ESV But the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?" NIV One day the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?" NASB But the evil spirit responded and said to them, 'I recognize Jesus, and I know of Paul, but who are you?' Are we walking with Christ Jesus or are we falsely claiming to be followers of Christ Jesus? Are we related to Our Lord Jesus by his blood he shed for us on the cross for our sins?

God hears and answers

Many Bible verses say that God hears and answers prayers 🙏 2 King 20:5 "I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you Deuteronomy 26:7 "The Lord heard the cries of the Israelites when they were suffering in Egypt. Psalm 55; 16-17 "But I call to God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and Morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice. Isaiah 38:4-5 "God, who is all-wise and all-powerful, hears our prayers"🙏 1 Peter 3:12 "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears 👂 are attentive to their prayers. Matthew 21:22 "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. 1 John 5:14 - 15 "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

What makes a baptism invalid

Should a Christian undergo sprinkling baptism and then immersion baptism

Can Christian's be baptized more than once

When should a person be baptized

What does it mean to be baptized

One Baptism

Good evening to all. Today's theme in CSI almanac is One Baptism The message might have been delivered in all CSI churches. Here is an issue on the title of Baptism UTC thelogians and other Scholars may be
enlighten. MODE OF BAPTISM. Of course the mode of Baptism is no longer an issue in CSI. We administer both infant and adult Sprinkling and Immersion Baptism. But only one Baptism no second Baptism. That is the discipline of the church in CSI. For few occasion I administered immersion Baptism depending on the will of those who were to be baptized. Now the point is Still the people are in dilemma and on the crossroads about the mode of Baptism I have known people of CSI members who have taken second Baptism happens to be immersion secretly. Little confusion on the kind of Baptism even today. Sectarian groups Pentacostal churches insist immersion Baptism though it could be second time of Baptism. Why this confusion and wrong doctrine on this sacrament. Catholic Church not administering immersion Baptism . Why this confusion on the mode of Baptism?. Because the Gospel writers did not narrate clearly on the mode of Baptism. Neither Luke in ACTS of the apostles. ... He came out of water.... it was not clear whether after dropping into thecwater or after sprinkling or pouring as catholic Church depicted in statue form in many churches and on the stain glass at the Altar both Protestant and catholic churches Pastors and even theoligians are playing with the word Baptism in Greek interpretation as dipping into so on so forth..... But scripture.is not confirming or ascertain that in his statement. Recently I had a conversation with a research scholar and pastor. He said In the early version bof the gospel. The second part of the verse Matthew 28-19 in the name of the father son and HolySpirit baptise...is not found. That means it makes us to think that baptism is not Paramount for conversion through it is the sign of entry into Christian faith or religion. Perhaps transformation of life is more important they might have thought so. To conclude about the mode of Baptism again I fully endorse Rev Dr. Stanley Jones The difference between sprinkling Baptism and immersion Baptism is the quantity of water used for that. He was absolutely right. Transformation in life is pivotal in Christian life. So my friends you can enlighten me more about the doctrine and mode of Baptism. Your negative or objective views are most welcome. Please give your time for this prolonged statements on the issue of Baptism With regards. Rev Jayakumar.

Anglo Indian Congregation St'Marks Church Podanur

Anglo-Indians This was a speech given by a senior Anglo-Indian army veteran at a dinner dance in Sydney some time ago..... Good Evening Ladies & Gentleman. Welcome to this special evening. I'm attempting to condense over 300 years of Anglo-Indian history into 10 minutes. The British Empire once held absolute power in over 52 countries. About two-fifths of the world. But there was only one jewel in the crown - India. The first European settlers in India were the Portuguese in 1498 about 100 years before the British. The Dutch, French and the British followed. They were all here for the duration. The inevitable happened and a new mixed race community emerged. Even though the British came in peacefully as merchants and traders they soon colonized the sub-continent of India. But the British needed allies to protect the jewel in the crown and so began a deliberate policy, encouraging British males to marry Indian women to create the first Anglo-Indians. The East India Company paid 15 silver rupees for each child born to an Indian mother and a European father, as family allowance. These children were amalgamated into the growing Anglo-Indian community, forming a defensive structure for the British Raj. This was a deliberate act of self preservation by the English. This unique hybrid individual was ethnically engineered by the occupying British so much so that the Anglo-Indians were the only micro-minority community ever defined in a Constitution. Article-366 of the Indian Constitution states. An Anglo-Indian means a person whose father or any of whose male ancestors in the male line is or was of European descent but who is domiciled within the territory of India and is or was born within such territory of parents habitually resident there-in and not established there for temporary purposes only. So you can see we were intended to be a permanent micro-minority. In 1830, the British Parliament described the Anglo-Indian as those who have been English educated, are entirely European in their habits and feelings, dress and language. They were more "Anglo" than "Indian". Their mother-tongue was English, they were Catholic or Anglican and their customs and traditions were English. While most of them married within their own circle, many continued to marry expatriate Englishmen. Very few married Indians. Without Anglo-Indian support British rule would have collapsed. RAILWAYS We ran the railways, post and telegraph, police and customs, education, export and import, shipping, tea, coffee and tobacco plantations, the coal and gold fields. We became teachers, nurses, priests and doctors. If it had any value the British made sure we ran it. And when it came to secretarial duties no one could touch our Anglo-Indian girls - the best stenographers in the world and with beauty to match. Were we favored? Yes, the English trusted us. After all we were blood related. We worked hard. We became indispensable. We lived comfortably and were protected by the British raj. Like the British we had servants to do all our domestic work. The average Anglo-Indian home could afford at least three full time servants - a cook, a bearer and the indispensable nanny (ayah). Part time servants included a gardener, cleaner and laundry man (dhobi). Of course we learned to speak Hindi to be able to argue, give orders, bargain, accuse and terminate employment and throw in a dozen Hindi expletives. Imagine our horror when we were later to migrate to England, Canada and Australia and we no longer had servants to do our domestic chores. Who can remember looking at our first toilet brush and asking 'what do we do with this?' We had to learn to cook, clean, garden, do the laundry and take the garbage out and look after the kids. CHRISTMAS CAKE The tradition of making your own Christmas cake was a sacred Anglo-Indian custom. Each family had a secret cake recipe, handed down from our grandparents. About a week before Christmas, the local baker was contacted. He would turn up to your home with two very large terracotta bowls that looked more like satellite dishes. One for the egg whites and one for mixing. Mum would dish out the ingredients. This was all mixed together under her watchful eye and distributed in to about dozen or so cake tins and labeled with your name on it. This labeling was all important. We did not want him to return that evening with someone else's cake recipe. Heaven forbid. MUSIC/DANCE Music, movies and socializing were high on the agenda. We loved a dance. Afternoon dance jam sessions were a magnet for the teenagers where we jived, jitterbugged, tango'd or just fox trotted. Many a lasting liaison was forged on the dance floor and today many of us are celebrating 40-year plus marriages. Our mums sat around gossiping and seldom took their eyes off their darling daughters. I know I speak from experience. I met my wife at one such event and now 44 years later I still fancy her. The Anglo-Indian railway and cantonment towns that sprung up around the major cities cultivated a unique social and industrial blend with a heartbeat. Their dances were legendary. At the drop of a hat, the city cousins would jump on a train and travel for anything up to six hours to get to that up-country dance. Many of our lives revolved around the biggest and best railway system in the world. And the trains ran on time! Today, the Indian Railways transports over 5 billion passengers each year employing more than 1.6 million personnel. Between 1853 and 1947 we built and managed 42 rail systems. This was a legacy we can be proud of. CONTRIBUTIONS During World War 1 about 8000 Anglo-Indians fought in Mesopotamia, East Africa, and in the European theatre - Eleven Anglo-Indians were awarded Victoria Crosses. In World War II they fought at Dunkirk and flew in the battle of Britain - Guy Gibson of the Dam Busters was one such Anglo-Indian, and we were in North Africa, Malaya and the fall of Singapore. .Boxer Rocky Brass • Actress Vivien Leigh, • actor Boris Karloff, • actor Ben Kingsley, • actress Merle Oberon, • writer Rudyard Kipling, d • ancer Juliet Prowse, • singer Cliff Richard, • singer Engelbert Humperdinck, • singer Tony Brent, • Ex Beatle Pete Best, • track & field star Sebastian Coe, • hockey player Leslie Claudius, • cricketer Roger Binny, • billiards player Wilson Jones, • stand up comedian Russell Peters, are all Anglo-Indians The Anglo-Indians took India to Olympic hockey glory. From 1928, India won five consecutive Olympic hockey gold medals. In fact, when India faced Australia in the semi-finals of the 1960 Olympics in Rome, it was a unique occasion. The captains who came face to face were both Anglo-Indians - Leslie Claudius and Kevin Carton. EDUCATION English education played a major role amongst the Anglo-Indians. Anglo-Indian schools numbered close to 300 and were prized. They stretched from Bangalore in the south [ he forgot about Calicut and Cannanore!] to the cooler northern hill stations of Darjeeling in the foothills of the Himalayas. Each was modeled on the posh English Public school system. We ran them as teachers and principals and to this day these schools are coveted across the sub-continent. IDENTITY DILEMMA The Anglo-Indian has always faced an identity dilemma because of our mixed origins. Europeans said they were Indians with some European blood; Indians said they were Europeans with some Indian blood. The world of Anglo-India vanished on August 15th 1947, when India became the largest independent democracy in the world. The British packed and went home. Over 300,000 Anglo-Indians remained. We felt apprehensive and abandoned. So we too packed our bags and began to migrate to Australia, Britain, Canada, the U.S.A. and New Zealand! Many of you will remember the dreaded Income Tax Clearance document you need to leave the country and further faced the strict Indian foreign exchange regulations that allowed you only 10 pounds each. Imagine starting life in a new country with 10 quid in your pocket. Some had to leave behind their savings; others simply resorted to the risky black market losing a 30% of your savings. IDENTITY The Anglo-Indian identity is disappearing. We have found new lives and merged into the mainstream. Our generation, sitting here tonight, who were born in India, growing up in the 40s thru to 60s, are possibly the last true Anglo-Indians. Look around you. Where is the next generation? Most of our children were born abroad and their connection to Anglo-India is very fragile. They have married Aussies, English, Canadian or other Anglo-Indians born outside India. They prefer to be regarded as English, Australian or Canadian. Our grandchildren will assimilate and forge a new identity based on their country of birth. Putting aside history I believe we could regard ourselves as an exotic cocktail that had its origins over 300 years ago. We have matured and become a unique aromatic spirit, generously flavored and very stimulating. We were a force to be reckoned with

St'Marks Church CSI Podanur

St. Mark’s Church, located in Podanur is a fine example of British Tudor architecture. Built in 1918 and consecrated in 1919, the church’s cross-shaped layout and use of red bricks sourced from Kerala contributed to its local nickname, the “Red Church.” Notably, the church’s stained-glass windows, brought from England, commemorate the lives lost during the First World War, adding a layer of historical depth to its spiritual foundation.
